The following are the suggested usage rates for Watch Us Grow All Purpose Liquid Plant Food by Stephen Follett the developer of Watch Us Grow.
All of these usage rates have been tested and found to work well, of course some growers have used the product on certain crops at more concentrated levels and also had success.
Remember : ALWAYS USE A DILUTED SOLUTION OF WATCH US GROW.
The best time to apply Watch Us Grow All Purpose Liquid Plant Food is in the early morning or later part of the day – NEVER apply when the sun is at it’s peak
FRUIT at PLANTING TIME:
soak your whips in a solution of 1 tbsp. Watch Us Grow to
1 gallon of water for about a 1/2 to 3/4 hour before planting.
After planting, water in with the same solution.
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR FRUIT TREES:
Cherries , Pears, Peaches, Plums, Apricots, Prunes
You need apply Watch Us Grow only 4 times. Apply at a rate of 3 quarts per acre.
1st at “popcorn”
2nd at “petal fall ”
3rd with cover spray
NOTE: Watch Us Grow is compatible with all known spray materials- 2 jobs at 1 time
SKIP ONE SPRAY
4th with cover spray
Additional applications may be used but good
results are obtained using the above program.
Apples, and Citrus Fruit
Apply at a rate of 3 quarts per acre.
1st spray with fungicide and insecticide at “pink” stage
2nd spray at calyx or “petal fall” stage
3rd with cover spray
4th with cover spray
SKIP ONE SPRAY
5th & 6th with cover sprays
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR BERRIES :
Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Blueberries
Loganberries, Gooseberries, Currants
Apply at a rate of 2 quarts per acre.
1st spray should be the day before blossoms open
2nd spray at petal fall of calyx stage
3rd and 4th spray – two weeks apart
NOTE: many growers like to Watch Us Grow every week after petal fall
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR GRAPES:
Apply at a rate of 2 quarts per acre.
We suggest 6 sprays as follows:
1st spray – before blossom
2nd spray – after fruit forms
3rd & 4th – with cover sprays
SKIP NEXT SPRAY
5th & 6th – with cover sprays
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR CORN:
When corn becomes 14 to 16 inches high,
spray the field with a solution of 3 quarts
to the acre.
When corn reaches the 7th leaf spray again
at the rate of 3 quart per acre.
It is important to spray at the 7th leaf stage
as this is when the cobs begin to form.
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR OATS, WHEAT, BARLEY, RYE GRASS:
When plants become about 4 inches high
spray field at the rate of 3 quarts per acre.
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR HAY FIELDS AND ALFALFA:
After first mowing spray field at the rate of
3 quart per acre.
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR PASTURES:
Spray at the rate of 3 quart per acre before
horses or livestock graze for the first time
of the season.
When you switch them to another pasture
spray again at the same rate.
NOTE: Watch Us Grow is safe for Horses and Livestock of all kinds
You can allow them to graze on treated Pastures the same day.
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR BEANS:
When beans are 4 to 5 inches in height spray
at the rate of 3 quarts per acre.
The 2nd spray should be applied after bean
comes into bloom at a rate of 1 quart per acre.
SPRAY PROGRAM FOR VEGETABLES:
1st spray after first two leaves form, at a rate of
1 quart per acre (or 1 tblsp. per gallon of water)
continue to spray at 2 week intervals until the
minimum of 4 sprays has been applied.
Potatoes, Tomatoes and Cucumbers
Grown commercially should have 6 sprays at a rate of 2 quarts per acre or 2 ounces per gallon.
Potatoes & Tomatoes need 2 sprays before bloom
and 4 sprays after bloom.
Cucumbers, Melons and Peppers should be sprayed
after every picking.

When used as directed Watch Us Grow All Purpose Liquid Plant Food will not burn your plants or seed in any way.
4. Always use diluted solution
5. Spray or sprinkle over entire plant. Apply enough to make leaves wet.
6. Start early in the season. After seed treatment use a minimum of 4 applications.
7. When transplanting, dip whole plant into diluted solution before planting.
8. Seed treatment for large seed – soak in solution ( 1 tblsp. in 1 gal. water) before planting for 5 minutes
small seed – water in with solution (1 tblsp. in 1 gal. water)
9. You can mix Watch Us Grow All Purpose Liquid Plant Food with all known spray materials. do 2 jobs at once.
10. Apply regardless of blossoms – no harm will be done.
11. You do not need rain after application of Watch Us Grow All Purpose Liquid Plant Food to get results.
12. Watch Us Grow All Purpose Liquid Plant Food becomes active plant food within minutes after application.

About Stephen Follett Company… Our company has its roots on a farm outside the Village of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, where in 1952 our founder, botanist and horticulturist Stephen Follett, began production of his newly developed liquid plant food concentrate Follett’s Watch Us Grow®.
He spent the previous decade experimenting with various compounds of fertilizers, trace elements and other organic and inorganic materials to find a formula that would foster healthier and better plant growth. He based his studies on the ancient idea of foliar feeding; the theory that plants can absorb nutrients through leaves, branches, stems, buds, fruits and even flowers as well as its root system. After years of trial and error, Mr. Follett perfected his gentle 8-8-8 liquid formula . . . a 256 to 1 concentrate of three major elements (nitrogen, phosphorus and potash) and five micronutrients (boron, copper, iron, manganese and zinc) plus his proprietary compound Fol-Ade® which contains eight ingredients that react on the elemental plant foods in the formula.
Since his death in 1992 at the age of 81, Mr. Follett’s grandson Phil Faustini has run the 50 year old family business. Few things have changed over the years. We’re still located on a farm a few miles from where the company started and the Watch Us Grow formula remains the same. We just don’t see any reason to tamper with something that works so darn well on everything — flowers, shrubs, trees, grasses, vegetables, fruits and house plants. Mr. Follett, known for his sense of humor, jokingly said in his later years, “why it works so well is my little secret, but I think plants grow up to get away from the stuff.” He did share his secret but only with his family. We’re glad he did. You will be, too.
